Baby Saville #1. Week 20 Update.

How far along?
 20 weeks. Half stinkin' way!!!!

Size: Banana.

Total weight gain/loss: + 15 lbs

Maternity clothes? Definitely

Stretch marks? No, but some stretching.

Sleep: Has been a little tricky this past week. Our AC is out and I've had to start some middle of the night potty runs. Those two things together make for some good afternoon naps!

Best moment this week: still really excited about baby girl and the fact that she's developing so well.
Let's talk about our little gymnast for a second:
Sister is all wadded up and sitting wayyyy low. Too funny!

Movement: Yes! She's still hanging out in a small area below my belly button and kicking just right there!

Food cravings: I am on the food struggle bus. Still not loving food-the congestion really makes me not hungry.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Not incredibly

Have you started to show yet: yes! Lol

Gender: BABY SAVILLE IS A GIRL!

Belly Button in or out? In.

Wedding rings on or off? Either rocking my Walmart rings or my band from when I worked at CFA.

Milestones: Baby girl is "eating" fluid and is supposedly becoming very active. To me, she seems to be hanging in one place. We'll see!

Major Happenings:

Baby Saville is officially
Eva Katherine Saville (Eva Kate) 😍
Still reeling over her name. Love.
We also found out that Eva Kate's cousin is also going to be a girl! Yay for all things girlie!!!

What's Been Going On: Feelings-wise, still enjoying the lingering congestion, which may be rhinitis. Eva Kate is causing some serious pressure down low. We'll see how that continues to develop.
Otherwise, I've been feeling really good!

Life-wise, cross country started this week and I've been running with the littles. It feels so good to have accountability! (And at my slow speed)
We are finalizing things for our Charleston mission trip this week and hopefully going to buy paint colors.

Looking Forward To:
sweet summertime!
Lots to share over the next couple of weeks!

Baby Saville #1. Week 19 (late) update.

I've been trying to do my pictures in front of a brick wall. Well, this week has been very crazy and overwhelming and I feel like I just didn't get it done. I was sort of waiting until after our anatomy ultrasound on Wed to post, so it's just been hectic. So....happy 19.5 weeks to us.

How far along?
 19 Weeks

Size: Mango

Total weight gain/loss: + 15 lbs

Maternity clothes? Definitely

Stretch marks? No, but some stretching.

Sleep: It's the end of the school year. Sleep is amazing.

Best moment this week: our anatomy ultrasound was so much fun! We enjoyed getting to see all of baby girl's parts growing and developing.

Movement: Yes! All in one spot. Still difficult to feel from the outside.

Food cravings: I am on the food struggle bus. Not much is yummy.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Still weird tummy feelings.

Have you started to show yet: yes! Lol

Gender: BABY SAVILLE IS A GIRL! And she has a name....stay tuned.

Belly Button in or out? In.

Wedding rings on or off? I may have invested in a cheap set that fits for the current moment.

Milestones: Baby girl's five senses are starting to work. Time to start reading to her now!!!!

Major Happenings: We registered! Super fun!!!

We also decided on her name!

Baby Saville is officially
Eva Katherine Saville
already affectionately Eva Kate. 😍

I cannot wait to start the monogramming!!!

What's Been Going On: Feelings-wise, we've had some interesting developments. I have this lingering congestion, which may be rhinitis. Basically it is congestion and a cold that hangs out for your entire pregnancy. Yay! And secondly, my placenta is sitting reallllllly low, which means I get to see more pictures of miss Eva Kate in the coming months as we decide whether a C-section may be the best plan. Praying that placenta just moves out of the way!
Otherwise, I've been feeling really good!
Life-wise, cross country started this week and I've been running with the littles. It feels so good to have accountability! (And at my slow speed)

Looking Forward To: sweet summertime Yay for summer and lots of projects! First up-nursery.
And getting ready for Charleston and the big Dominican trip.

Camp Greenville

Last week was crazy and insane for several reasons, but mostly because we took 125 7th graders to Camp Greenville (in the woods near Pretty Place) and did ecology lessons, rotations, and just had fun for three straight days. Lack of sleep and lots of middle school drama speckled the trip, but overall it was a super fun time!

We headed out on Wednesday morning. Please note that I made it 90% of the ride without getting sick (oops).

The first day, several activity groups got to zip line! The kids were broken up into 7 groups and they rotated throughout ziplining and archery (the fun ones), animal adaptations, alive or dead, wilderness skills, and a nature hike (the learning ones). Mr. Achee and I got to float and go to all of the different adventures throughout the three days.

I hung with these girls as they ziplined! Too bad I couldn't participate this year.

At the zip line activity, we got caught in a STORM! Like...insane rain where we ran for the gym and got soaked. Then, the power went out and it hailed for about 45 minutes. Crazy! Totally a flash thunderstorm for sure.

We made the best of it and played dodgeball and hung out.

Wednesday night, we took a night hike to Pretty Place. It was a great time, as many of our kids had never been there before and were in awe of the mountains!

My cabin girls were totally crazy!

I went to animal adaptations on Thursday and got to play with a snake!!!

Mr. Achee and I joined this group on the hike! It was beautiful and not too strenuous, even for this preggo.

Lots of porch sitting, eating, and just hanging out ended our trip. Aside from some drama (#middleschool), we had THE BEST week! I so loved getting to see these kids in their element and take a few days to just HAVE FUN!

WOO HOO for Middle School and WOO HOO for Camp Greenville!

Baby Saville #1. Week 17 Update

How far along?
 17 Weeks

Size: Pomegranate

Total weight gain/loss: + 15 lbs and hanging on

Maternity clothes? Definitely

Stretch marks? No, but some stretching.

Sleep: Not horrible!

Best moment this week: still reeling in all the girl-ness

Movement: Flutterings still

Food cravings: I've been on a healthy kick! Salads and fruit!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Even though I'm well out of the 1st trimester, smells are still gross. Also, my tummy has been upset all week. I thought this whole second trimester was supposed to be better, but strangely it has been a little more difficult in terms of belly issues.

Have you started to show yet: yes! Lol

Gender: BABY SAVILLE IS A GIRL!

Belly Button in or out? In.

Wedding rings on or off? I may have invested in a cheap set that fits for the current moment.

Milestones: Baby can hear our voices now, which is still super fun to me. Baby is adding some weight to her bony self!

Major Happenings: We got some more cute maternity clothes this week! Lol. And I enjoyed some time at camp Greenville with my 7th grade babies.

What's Been Going On: Feelings-wise, still dealing with some tummy issues as baby girl is low and resting on my intestines (thanks).
Life-wise: Camp Greenville trip, track state, church, and so much more! Phew

Cousin Twins

I mentioned a few weeks ago that 2016 was going to be the year of the baby...well, I can't even describe how true that is! Our church nursery is filling UP! In our friend group, Shannon has a one year old, PJ just had her third this month, Andi is pregnant with her second, I am pregnant, and Chels is also pregnant. Our family has known this for so long, but it just went public, and we couldn't be happier.

When you are best buds and family, you discuss everything...so we knew that we were both trying to be mommies at the same time...and we knew the struggles and the pain and all of the stuff that goes along with it.

We got a positive test in February and Micah and Chelsea were right behind us in March.

We joked after Micah and Chelsea got married that we would one day raise our babies together as "cousin twins." Well....our due dates are 5 weeks apart, so it seems that that would be a real thing coming soon!

We live on the same block, eat meals together, do Cross Country together, do church together, and cannot wait to do this next stage together as well!!!!!

So......I can finally use numbers....
One down, THREE TO GO!

Come on 2016....bring on the babies :)

Baby Saville #1. Week 16 Update.

 16 week photo

How far along? 16 Weeks

Size: It's an avocado (ha)

Total weight gain/loss: + 12 lbs (but definitely have some definition)

Maternity clothes? Yes ma'am

Stretch marks? No, but some stretching.

Sleep: Not horrible!

Best moment this week: Finding out that Baby Saville is a GIRL!

Movement: Flutterings still

Food cravings: this has been a low key week with cravings; I have just wanted ALL OF THE FOOD.

WHAT?!?

Belly Button in or out? In.

Wedding rings on or off? I may have invested in a cheap set that fits for the current moment.

Milestones: Baby can hear our voices now, thanks to her ear bones being developed. She is also growing hair, eyebrows, and eyelashes (and if my prediction is correct, hair everywhere!)

Major Happenings: We had another doctor's appointment this week and got to hear the heartbeat again. 158 Baby girl is a mover and a shaker--that's for sure! In the ultrasound this week, we were looking at her profile and arms and continually saw a foot fly by! man oh man.

What's Been Going On: Feelings-wise, the hormones have been crazy the past few weeks. Also, dealing with some tummy issues as baby girl is low and resting on my intestines (thanks).
Life-wise: I'm grateful we had a fairly normal week last week, but our weekend was intense. Two doctors apts, a women's event, track state qualifiers, church and our gender reveal. Phew. I'm tired just thinking about it all.

Looking Forward To: We are taking our 7th graders on an overnight trip to Camp Greenville Wed-Friday this week and Morgan runs at Track State on Friday night! Busy, but exciting things coming up!
