Baby Saville #1 Week 11

Listen, I'll be so real and let you know that I'm not the biggest fan of these things....
BUT.
I mostly blog for me. and I want to be able to remember these things in the future. I'm going to post them on Mondays because that is when my week "changes" and it won't hurt my feelings if you intentionally skip these days!

So...again...this is for me, myself, and my memory...and you if you care!

Tiny barely there belly.

How far along? 11 Weeks

Size: Prune

Total weight gain/loss: + 5 lbs

Maternity clothes? Nope. I've moved to the stretchy wardrobe though. Thank goodness for piko tops and palazzo pants!

Stretch marks? nope

Sleep: Can't get enough of it!!!

Best moment this week: Getting some spring break rest! Also, moving some furniture around so that the office is becoming less office and more ready-to-be-a-nursery!

Movement: Nothing I can feel yet - too early.

Food cravings: Apple Juice!

Anything making you queasy or sick: smells....they are killing me!!!

Have you started to show yet: I'm at the awkward stage of not-really-a-bump, not-really-fat

Gender: don't know yet!!!

Belly Button in or out? In.

Wedding rings on or off? On. I'm concerned that it's going to be a short ride though; they're tight and my fingers are skinny!

Milestones: Lots of pictures of baby because of the miscarriage last time. Grateful we've made it past that scary week, but still hoping for a safe and healthy baby S!

Major Happenings:Would you believe that by now, baby's vital organs are fully developed and beginning to function? How crazy to me that this little 2 inch kiddo has a functioning heart, brain, etc.

What's Been Going On:Weird heartburn and leg cramps! I haven't had many negative symptoms during this first trimester (Praise God), but those two things have been new. We've been super busy constantly, so I've been catching naps basically every afternoon to keep up!

Looking Forward To: Another appointment this week. I told you...the precautions this time around are no joke after losing our first little one. Also looking forward to that burst of energy everyone is promising me in the next week or two! I NEEEEED to stop these daily naps!

Friday Favorites-SPRING BREAK

I'm not going to be one of those people who only blogs about being pregnant. I swear. I just titled this Friday Favorites as such because this girl has been a blogging slacker...and my spring break could not have come at a better time. My slacker-ness is a direct result of this first trimester stuff. It is no joke. This is week 10 (almost 11--Monday) and I have been TIRED for all 10 of them! I swear...I told my mom the other day, as a girl who ADORES some sleep, even this is a little much for me!

I am praying that a burst of energy comes in the next week or two.

So--here are some favorites from the past TWO weeks since we made our super fun announcement to you guys.

Normally this is travel ball season, but Mack took this year off for a couple of reasons and has been playing soccer for school instead. We've had a little more time on the weekends to do some fun family things and our week nights have been CRAMMED full of track and soccer.

Moose chuckles because I find something to do every night but I just love watching these kiddos do their thing! Sports watching is my FAVORITE.

My parents hosted our church's Kid and Preschool Easter Egg hunt at their house this year. It was a blast. They had a photo booth and bike parade as well. I love our church. I am so grateful for the way we love. Calvary is my FAVORITE.

For the past several Easters, mom and dad have invited the staff families who have out-of-town family to have Easter lunch with us. I love that they do this...and our staff has always felt like family. We never really grew up around our cousins or got that privilege, so wherever we were on staff really became our family. These sweet friends are no exception. This special family is a FAVORITE.

Each year we take some pictures under "the tree"! Somehow this year's was just a kid-only picture...but we'll get you in next time mom and dad! The memory of this picture year after year is certainly a FAVORITE of mine.

Last Year Here
2014 Here
The rest were pre-blogging and I'm a little to lazy to look them up ;)

This week was spring break (WOOT WOOT) and on Monday morning I got a phone call from my dad that said "I booked a house on Folly; we leave in two hours". Well, of course I was all in! I adjusted some appointments said "forget that cleaning list" and packed a bag! We spent a few days just relaxing and eating wayyyyy too much. I also invested in a few flowy shirts and stretchy pants. I'm not really sure if the need for these is a result of all the eating we did or a result of baby :) I'm blaming baby! Time with family...and relaxing...is my FAVORITE!

Friday Favorites--We're Having A Baby!!!

So, I've been sort of silent on the blog front because I just couldn't write about anything without hinting at the above! I have just been so excited! We had our first ultrasound picture yesterday and I couldn't wait to share it with you because the fact that WE ARE HAVING A BABY is DEFINITELY my MOST FAVORITE OF ALL TIME!

So--on February 12, I woke up feeling a little icky and just a tad bit suspicious! And THIS HAPPENED! (Talk about candid lol!) Being real with my people is my FAVORITE!

We told both sets of our parents and waited patiently. Since we had a history of miscarriage, we spent some time doing blood work about two weeks in. Then, we had an ultrasound two weeks ago. Finally, we had an ultrasound yesterday that confirmed everything is where it is supposed to be and doing what it is supposed to be doing!

We are so insanely excited and so grateful that God has blessed us with Baby Saville. We couldn't have gotten to where we are without your prayers and we covet your continued prayers throughout the pregnancy!

Hello World! This little boy or girl is my absolute new FAVORITE!

Happy Friday Y'all!

Friday Favorites

This week, we got to do so many fun things! We started the rainy week off with a NEW driveway!

It is gravel and I have been begging for it for quite some time. The funds and time finally worked out. A friend of ours had a tractor and helped us with it.
Helpful friends are my FAVORITE.

We served lunch at our church's fundraiser for summer missions. Serving together is my FAVORITE.

Our small group was also so fun on Sunday night!

On Monday, we spent some time with some of our FAVORITE people. Our Sunday morning connecting group is the best. We went skating!!! Woot woot!

This week at school was my FAVORITE.
We had PALS and enjoyed our new workout room!

Morgan had her first track scrimmage last night! It was freezing!!!! Watching the girls do their thing is totally and completely my FAVORITE.

We had such a fun and busy week! I love this crazy life we live.

Let Us Consider Others

I read a Facebook post the other day they got me thinking. I know sometimes these posts can be a bad thing because they make you think negatively, but this one got me pondering the question--What if we truly considered each other's pains and sorrows before we complained about our own?
A friend had posted about a crying baby ruining their evening at a restaurant. Many others were sounding off about how horrible that situation is. Finally, another friend to chimed in and said to be considerate because that baby may have special needs or maybe terminally ill… You simply do not know what life they walk. The commentor had lost their baby this year due to a tragedy. I do not think that the original poster meant anything by it. However, it made me think. How often do we complain about something that others around us would consider a blessing. Pregnancy pains? What about the friend struggling with fertility. Long commute to work? What about the friend looking to find a job.
I truly believe we could change our culture if we began to consider others. Philippians 2:3 tells us to do nothing out of selfish conceit, but to consider others better than we. We say this; we do it in some actions. However, we fail miserably when it comes to complaining. We gripe about our struggles, not even realizing they could be someone else's blessing. We jokingly talk about our first world problems, but don't realize we have it so good.
Let us begin to consider others.
Before you complain, consider your blessing. Before you go to Facebook to rant, consider how it may sound to those around you.

Let us forego selfish ambition. Let us pursue humility. Let us consider others.

Friday Favorites--Basketball

If you've followed me for any length of time, you know I loooove basketball. I've loved basketball forever, but it has become more special as I've gotten to watch this girl grow in the sport.

This season was rough in many ways. Mack was playing with her basketball besties (who we've followed around for 6+ years with school and travel ball). A sweet friend and teammate missed most of the season from an injury and a coaching change took some adjusting-to. We didn't have many "W"s this year, but these girls played with heart and love.

Cheering on the Mustangs is my FAVORITE and Mustang basketball is my FAVORITE FAVORITE.

This season, I've been given the opportunity to keep the boys book for away games. My teacher neighbor and friend does the home games. Working with these friends has been my FAVORITE.

Last night was senior night for a precious group of girls. They have been playing with Mack for many years and we've watched them grow up in the game. I love them and will miss them so much!

They designed a special play for Taylor, who was injured, to go in and shoot a layup. It was precious.

I cried like a baby. Lol. These girls and this sport has been my FAVORITE.

LOVE it!!!

Showering Baby Weston

I swear, y'all. I'm going to go into the party planning business. It's so much fun and I feel like we tend to do a good job!

This time around, we did a fun baby shower for PJ and Michael's newest. Weston is their third, but their boys are big so they are basically starting over. Oh Boy!

These friends are outdoorsy and love fun things like that. So I got "pin-spired" and found a super cute woodsy OH BOY theme:

I cropped this a tad because we decided this would be a little bit smaller shower and it would be a good idea to have it at my house instead of the church. So, sorry. You can't creep on me...and you're missing the buffalo check border on the bottom. Grin.
Welcome to the shower!

This friend group is literally the best and they go with my whims and inspirations so well! I love that they get my "crazy"
LtR: Shannon, me, Chelsea, PJ, Meg, Margaret, and Andi

Margaret had this awesome pallet and made the diaper cake. Megan rocked the garland!

I just love this woodsy/outdoors theme.

Andi had the wood circles and I had some sit-around stuff. We all just collaborated.

Literally put a buffalo plaid shirt in my birdcage. Hey-whatever works!

I love my ladder. It was my great grandparents' ladder, so it has history as well as shabby chic flavor.

Fun cupcakes with tags I designed and Chelsea created.

You know--just some greenery from my yard. :) mom came through with cake plates, this cute basket below, and mason jars for us. Years of planning parties has left her with a house full of supplies!

A yummy cheese spread below. The lighting makes it difficult to appreciate.

Shannon and Andi made a fantastic
Pinecone garland for the food table. It was the perfect touch!

I loved having the shower at my house. It was the perfect setting for a more intimate group of friends.

These precious ladies who helped host and those who attended mean so much to me. We've been through so much. If you've followed me for any length of time, you've read about two births, weddings, lots of showers, birthday parties, Christmas extravaganzas, loss, growing in number, and so many things. This life would certainly be lonely and desperately boring without these loves. I am just so grateful for Godly community. These women, among others have been placed in my life at just the right time so often. I was never privy to many girl-friendships growing up, but I am SO GRATEFUL God has seen fit to bless me with these at this point in my life.
...and we can't wait to welcome baby Weston Cole into our group in April!
