Gender Reveal

IT'S A GIRLLLLLLLLLL!

Y'all. Shocked doesn't even begin to describe. I was asked approximately one million times if I had a gut feeling and I really didn't...but I had convinced myself I was having a boy! The Saville family only has boys ;). Until the ultrasound scan, I had no "inkling", but Moose was certain it was a boy and I let myself hear the technician saying some things that were ambiguous as "boy-specific".

SO...to back up and tell the story a little bit!

My mom and I had talked about doing a gender reveal and I mentioned I really wanted to do something small and fun, but I didn't want to have a huge party or make a fuss because no one cares about the details about my baby like my family does. Grin. And even family doesn't REALLY care! Let's be honest! Nonetheless, we decided we wanted to do a little something. I made an appointment at Vision of Life for right before our 16 week mark to do a gender ultrasound. That place was so nice and the lady was wonderful!

We put the ultrasounds in an envelope and ordered two black confetti balloons (one had pink; one had blue). On Sunday night, a sweet lady from our church blew up the correct one.

Our no-fuss party consisted of ice cream sundaes. Mom bought this banner (LOVE).

And she decorated her dining room table with some pink and blue sundae supplies. She got cotton candy and birthday cake ice cream to go with the theme.

I made some banners to go on the table and realized as I was doing it that all roads were leading to pink. Hmmmmmm.

We took some pictures and made the most of our photo op. My sister practiced with her camera and we have a good family friend who is so gifted in photography and she generously offered her skills.

Then, we gathered my family, FaceTimed Moose's family and popped the balloon!!!
Moose held the silly thing too high at first and I felt like I had to jump for it :)

Clearly, we were a little shocked!

Our people were super excited!!!

We ended with some girl-specific pictures and LOTS of ice cream :)
All in all, it was a fun way to share in the moment with little-to-no fuss.

HOORAY Baby Girl! We CAN NOT WAIT to meet you :)

Henry's 1st B-day party

Our friends, Bryan and Shannon, have one of the cutest little boys ever! His name is Henry and he just turned one!

Shay invited us all to his party and I wanted to share some of the cute details.

She and Bryan did such a great job crafting and making the event special!

I love their banners and cut-outs!

The antique decor really made the tables pop. The colors matched so well!

Shay made these cupcakes and her talented hubby made the airplanes for the top!

What an adventure a year with a new child is!!!

Presents...and another garland!

Sweet boy did NOT love his cake, but he WAS loving the blueberries on top. Yum-o!

He got some really cute toys--a wagon, a car for walking/riding, a swing, a basketball goal, lots of bath things...all things that a growing boy NEEDS! lol

We had so much fun playing with friends in Shay and B's back yard. This is their "down and ready" position :)

LOOK HOW CUTE Liam is enjoying his birthday cupcake.

 Friends are my favorite!
Celebrating milestones with them is even better.

Happy Birthday sweet boy! So glad that we get to be a small part of your life ;)

Life Lately-April 2016

April was a full month, beginning all sorts of spring activities as we wrap up the school year and current sports seasons. We are in getting-ready-for-summer mode and have a LOT going on!

We wrapped up spring break with some work around the house for home and for school.

I got in a boys soccer game. With both of the girls playing sports, boys sports have been hard to come by this spring, but I love it when I can watch my kids do their thing outside of school!!

The pregnancy cravings got real!

Our last track meet at home this year was sprinkled (grin) with rain delays. Yuck!

This guy turned 30. I wrote all about it on the blog!!!

PJ had baby Weston! YAY. We love him so much already.

These girls are KILLING it at the end of the season--State Qualifiers this weekend!

and this dude turned ONE! We love doing life with our friends. Read all about sweet Henry's birthday on the blog soon!

Baby Saville #1. Week 15 update.

    15 week photo

How far along?
 15 Weeks

Size: Orange

Total weight gain/loss: + 10 lbs

Maternity clothes? Yes ma'am

Stretch marks? No, but some stretching.

Sleep: Sleep was wonky this week because I wasn't at my own house or in my own bed!

Best moment this week: Not a baby moment at all-but my sweet sister and team place 2nd in the region in the 4 by 800 and she placed 3rd in the 2 mile. All-region 8th grader. I am just so proud of her!

Movement: Flutterings that aren't quite distinguishable as baby or belly. 😂

Food cravings: this has been a low key week with cravings; I have just wanted ALL OF THE FOOD.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Even though I'm well out of the 1st trimester, smells are still gross.

Have you started to show yet: yes! Lol

Gender: should know next week!

Belly Button in or out? In.

Wedding rings on or off? Pretty much off all the time.

Milestones: Growing, growing!

Major Happenings: baby is moving a ton! Hopefully we'll feel some movement soon! Also, all of baby's joints are working and moving. So insanely cool that this 4-6 inch child can move and has working insides!

What's Been Going On: Feelings-wise, the hormones have been crazy!
Life-wise: oh my heavens--upside down! My parents were out of town unexpectedly and we spent a few nights with my sisters. Instant parents of teenagers is hard! With track region, a meal at church, and testing at school, it was quite a week and my blogging game is off!

Looking Forward To: By next week, we should know the gender!!!!!!
Also, we have track state qualifiers this weekend. Big things coming up!
